Okay so... this is an interesting story. And thought I'd begin my blog just like this to give you an idea of me.
Lets start with the fact that 'Grrr' I was writing a post when there was a power out and it got deleted so I'm saving every sentence in case it happens again - its raining and all! So bloggers as I was writing before, today was the best and worst day, both fun and painful lol!
It actually began a few days ago with Daniel's idea to film the ship wreck at Coogee ship for our play. So we chose today to go and of course as always it pours whilst every other day we have had rehearsals has been perfect weather! Bahaha we wish, so in knowing this idea and plan since last week you would think he packed his camera? Of course not you see that would be the simple convenient smart thing to do! So in order to get his camcorder we drove to Rebecca's and then to a slight detour...yeah right... to Yangebup aka whoop whoop!
...so there at Daniel's we charged his camcorder and ordered fish and chips for dinner, after an hour of waiting around, eating and remaining hushed whilst his brother watched Soprano's we left for our adventure to the beach. Stopping off at the local fish and chips place to get our order, by then it was pouring with rain, cold and we were dodging the police because Alex was driving minus his 'P' plates - $100 fine there. So for some reason despite obvious reasons why we shouldn't be attempting this we proceeded to the beach, parking on the side of the road no one moved. So Daniel and I jumped out of the car ran down the rocks and found we were no where near the wreck but explored further down the beach.
By this stage I am a drowned rat exhibit A. and the wind is so strong my umbrella is snapping, so we run further getting soaked more and more. We reach the destination which really seems not much chop, two things sticking up from the water, with the tide rising Daniel climbs the rocks to get a better view. After about 10 minutes I realise he is out of sight and I climb the rocks with my numb face, fingers and toes! The joys of rain and winter. I see him and we depart feeling not that satisfied or as if it was worth the trek. However we start walking back and realising in finding the stupid insignificant wreck we have strayed from where the car is and now are standing in a private property industrial construction area by which is fenced off. So we then jump the fence, I know how dodgy and unlike me.
For two reasons,
1. I have a thing for fences, heights and money bars not necessarily the height
2. but I always seem to get stuck or fall.
= But I executed this fairly well and landed safely yet probally got a few looks from ongoing traffic seeing two teens jumping of a fence never the less we escaped. We soon found Alex's deserted car, hopped in and being the dodgy teens that we are we ate dinner in a deserted car park playing classical music and parking in a no-parking area! Haha to add to the list of cop hunt was the new found broken headlights resulting in Alex using high beam and getting honks and retaliation all round. The adventure gets better so we drive home still avoiding the police and get stuck behind a frieght train for like 15 minutes assured by Lauren that it will move, well it didnt it just stoped then and there! So Alex gets out of the car, at the time unaware of dropping his ben sherman rain coat and reverses away back to Daniel's. When we get out we realise this predicament and drive back parking at some random house yet again Daniel and I run out and come to the rescue, all is going well but as we run back to the car, jacket in hand Miss Clutz - Me trips over the train tracks all grazed hands, still soaked from the beach and now also covered in mud.
By the time I get home I'm in so much pain and my knee (no lie) has a lump the size of an egg. After Daniel's mum administers first aid onto me accompanied by bedadine, bainaids, a hot tea, chocalate and a hideous change of clothes - very unflattering trackpants whilst my own jeans dry everything pretty much calms down from there. Alex takes Lauren, Kate and myself home and I am now sitting here laughing and trying not to move my egg lump of a knee. I love Drama! Well that was my eventful day!
Over and Out!
